PUREMAN Salon

Share

PUREMAN is the funky, fresh hair salon located in the CBD of Brisbane built as a cool place for guys to hang out, chill out and get a haircut.

Since their establishment in October 2006, the salon has been governed by a philosophy of premium grooming. This has seen them settling for nothing less than the best quality products and services. Whether you are in the salon for a wet shave, to sharpen up your look, on the website looking for grooming tips or looking for advice on some of the finer things in life, the salon can be of assistance.

PUREMAN prides itself on offering a uniquely different experience that works on many different levels. Firstly, quality can be assured. The team consists of highly trained professionals specialising in men’s hair who use a product range personally selected to meet the grooming needs of their clientele. Furthermore, the salon design is tailored with audio/visuals individually selected to reflect the interests of their clients, which creates an ambience that Salon owner Alan describes as "not only night club cool, but home-town welcome". With music being an essential ingredient in the experience, the salon plays "Pureman Essential Mixes" that are developed from their clients who work in the music industry. Alan explained "we are firm believers that there is no bad music just individual choice so there is everything from merging indie artists through to modern day pop and everything in between".

The salon is a little more expensive then most, but offers a range of different grooming options with a style, cleanse and cut setting you back $50. This includes a consultation, shampoo, condition and to finish off, a hot lather straight edge neck shave with a cleanse from lemon grass-scented hot and cold towels.

This dedication to creating a unique environment for personal grooming has not only resulted in building a reputable name for the salon, but led to PUREMAN being voted as Australia’s best hair hairdressing destination for men for 2010 in GQ(www.gq.com/) Magazine. Al said "nothing compares to this kind of acknowledgement. We have worked really hard to create a brand that represents quality and style and it is a good feeling for an organisation like GQ to notice it!"

As well as having the physical salon in Brisbane, PUREMAN set up a website (www.pureman.com.au) so they could look after the grooming needs of men Australia wide. The website showcases the highest quality grooming products for the discerning Aussie male. Even if you can't make it into the salon, you can now benefit from the experience of Alan and the team with a comprehensive list of grooming products that will keep you smelling good and looking fine. In addition to the grooming aspect, the website has a culture hub that explores tips for buying a diamond ring, hunting a wild bore and other insightful topics. Alan described the reasoning behind the culture hub as "we look after real, three dimensional men who have lives outside of their career. Whether they are action men or metro men, there is a whole adventurous and playful side to life that goes hand in hand with your attitudes and style".

PUREMAN believes that there are three must-haves for anyone wanting to look sharp. Firstly, a great haircut tailored specifically for you and not just chosen out of a magazine. Correct product choice and a quality skin regime – maintain a gentleman’s shaving routine. They feel these factors of personal grooming and style can aid in success, by helping create an image that sets the scene long before you get to the nitty gritty of making life work for you. "While style is subjective, it does have the power to command respect, create intrigue, show your attention to detail, frame your appeal and express your personality and values. These are things that will make you more successful" Alan explained.
