Anti-Heros

What’s not to like about a group who chose their name Antiheros because of its meaning; Anti-hero – A bad ass who happens to have powers.

Antiheroes are a 4 piece electronic band featuring DJ Charlie Hustle and 3 members of the band No Filter, Rico, Woodsy and Jon. Through a flexible line up of drums, decks, midi controllers and vocals, the group create live remix party anthems from any style of music, sampling what they think sounds good, with nothing off limits.

Before Antiheroes, the four members had been long standing friends and during a big night out a year a go, they came up with the premise of starting the group. “We just couldn’t find the time to give it a go until recently. What started as a side project has become the main focus for most of us” the group told.

In such a competitive market, the group honestly believe their point of difference is their uniqueness. “Although there have been other similar groups, we don’t think anyone does it like we do. We want every member to add an equal part as opposed to the DJ being the main attraction” they explained. Plus, about 80% of their live show is made up of their original remixes and edits, which adds that little extra flavour.

With no music off limits, there are far too many influences for Antiheroes to list, especially with 4 members in the group. However, recently the group have been vibing with what Dillon Francis, Nero, Wick-It, and Diplo have been doing.

The dream for the group is to eventually be putting out originals and hopefully have an EP out mid-late this year. Besides that, bigger shows and better festival slots are in the pipeline.
